Abouriou "A Bout", Le Raisin A Plume 2019 (Loire, France)

100% Abouriou, a distant relative of Merlot that only grows in a few places east of Bordeaux in the southwest and here, just east of Muscadet in the Coteaux d'Ancenis. This is fermented whole cluster for 15 days, then pressed off to old barrel where it ages for 8 months before getting bottled unfiltered with no sulfur added. Dark blueberry fruit, but light on it's feet and chillable at just under 12%. Juicy and fun.
