Barbera "Podej", Forti del Vento 2018 (Piedmont, Italy)

Barbera from the hills of Ovada in southeastern Piedmont, grown organically, hand harvested and wild fermented in steel, where it ages for a year before moving to old barrel for another year, then bottled unfiltered with no sulfur added. Full bodied with deep red plum fruit and silky tannins with earthy truffle notes.
