La Traviesa Granada Blanco 2021 $21 100% Vigiriega farmed organically in very high elevation mountain vineyards (Sierra de la Contraviesa) over schist and clay soils. Hand harvested, destemmed, direct pressed, fermented in tank with native yeasts and partial aging happens in large stainless steel (50%) and partially old tonneau for 9 months. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, with zero SO2. Zippy citrus and green apple with some cider notes.
La Traviesa Granada Tinto 2021 $21 A blend of mostly Garnacha with some Tempranillo. Farmed organically in very high elevation mountain vineyards (1,300m elevation) over schist and clay soils. Hand harvested, the Garnacha is directly pressed and the Tempranillo is destemmed, all together it macerates for 4 days in tank with indigenous yeasts and then goes through large barrels for 9 months. Unfined, unfiltered, and zero added SO2. Fizzy chilled red with wild berries and crushed rocks.
