The Darde family has been working naturally here on the shores of Lake Octon Salagou in Languedoc for generations. The red volcanic soil makes this area look more like Mars than just your average sleepy village in southern France, and that's really what makes these wines so special. This is an unusual blend of direct press Merlot and Terret Gris blended with saignee Cinsault and Mourvedre all from organic vines with impossibly low yields. Perfect transitional end of summer rose with weighty notes of roasted strawberry and spice.
