Cotes de Bordeaux, Le Nini 2019 (Bordeaux, France)

100% Merlot from a tiny biodynamic vineyard in Cadillac farmed and produced naturally by Cecile Thibon and Gilles Brianceau. Their day job is working for the French National Institute for Agricultural Research, but they manage the vineyard on the weekends. Hand harvested and wild fermented in steel where it also ages until spring when it gets bottled unfiltered with basically no sulfur added. Full bodied and powerful with dark chocolate and black olives.
