Craft Whiskey, Dented Brick (Utah, US)

Organic. A blend of straight rye and bourbon whiskeys, aged 2+ years and brought to proof with water from Dented Brick Distillery’s on-site artesian well.  Unmalted rye is mashed using high efficiency commercial enzymes to approximately 9% ABV. Fermented mash is stripped in our Vendome column still and finished in our 500 gallon Vendome batch still under 4 plates of rectification, then barrel aged for 2 or more years before being blended with sourced straight whiskeys.  Whiskey is rye-forward, with complex wood notes culminating into a distinctive peppery bite. The heat slowly subsides and gives way to sweet flavors of honey, brown sugar, stone fruit, nutmeg, cinnamon and clove.
