100% Cabernet Franc from organically farmed vines of Clos Cristal in Saumur, a vineyard that has been in continuous existence since the 19th century, then came into the possession of the Saumur public hospital since the 1920s. Come Isambert purchased some of the Cabernet Franc grapes from the vineyard’s final harvest and made this cuvée from that. Native yeast fermented, no additives, very minimal added sulfites. This is fresh, juicy, with charming fruity flavors. Great with any meal including mushrooms. Drinking very nicely now.
