Dolcetto Dogliani, San Fereolo 2016 (Piedmont, Italy)

Old vine Dolcetto from Biodynamic vineyards in Dogliani, just south of Barolo. Nicoletta Bocca is the best producer of this grape and believes in their aging potential, so this spends 3 years in barrel and then 3-4 years in cellar before she releases it. Dark fruited and leathery with complex spice notes and velvety tannins. Special occasion steak wine.
