Bianco Macerato 2019 $30 Equal parts Zibibbo, Catarratto and Grillo from organic vineyards in Monreale and Alcamo, in northern Sicily, macerated on the skins for 20 days and aged in steel for 7 months, then bottled unfiltered. Aromatic and friendly with crushed flowers, candied fennel seed, ripe citrus and sunshine. Crowd pleaser orange wine.

Glou Glou 2021 $23 Usually Nerello Mascalese comes from the volcanic soils of Mt. Etna, where it makes serious, complex wines. But here in Alcamo at lower elevations close to the coast, it produces a juicy, ripe version that the Elios team makes into a perfect chillable chuggable red. Fresh strawberries and red plum on a silky frame meant to be consumed in large quantities. Great for anything spicy, but especially tacos eaten outside.
