Es D'Aqui- It's From Here. Despite the Spanish name, Jean-Louis Pinto makes wine in the basement of the house he grew up in, just outside of Limoux. He buys grapes from organic growers around Languedoc and brings them home to transform into soulful, singular, chuggable party juice. All natural with no sulfur or anything else added whatsoever. These wines aren't for everyone, but if you're a fan of the funk, you don't want to miss out. Here's what we have to offer today:

Conciliabulle Pet Nat, Es D'Aqui 2020 $30 This is a pet nat made from Grenache and Colombard from organic vineyards in Adissan, co-fermented whole cluster and bottled before it was finished with nothing added. This is a dark rose/light red situation with soft bubbles, fresh crushed tart cherry and raspberry, citrus notes and some barnyard funk. 

All In Wine, Es D'Aqui 2018 $30 This is a blend of Grenache, Carignan, Cab Franc, Mourvedre and Muscat and probably some others, all vinified separately using different methods, then assembled and rested in tank before getting bottled unfiltered with no sulfur added. Lots going on with spicy red fruit and expressive aromatics on a juicy, light to medium frame perfect for a little chill.
