Garnacha "La Vina de Ayer", Soto Y Manrique (Gredos, Spain)

Garnacha from a single, walled in vineyard of 50+ year old vines, planted on slate soil and farmed organically almost 3000 feet up in the Gredos mountains in the village of Cebreros, wild fermented in concrete, then aged for a year in barrel. Full bodied with smokey dark red and purple fruit with baking spice and earth. Comfort wine for a cold night.
