Garnatxa Blanca "Naturalis Mer", Celler Batea 2019 (Terra Alta, Spain)

Celler Batea is a co-op run by winemaker Judith Folch, but don't let the term 'cooperative' fool you. Naturalis Mer Garnatxa Blanca is organic fruit farmed without any chemicals, spontaneously steel-fermented with wild yeast, tank-aged without oak, and bottled without fining or filtration. This is one of the finest Grenache Blancs you'll ever try. 

On the full side of medium-bodied and dry. Golden with green hues and a nose of wild yeast and citrus. Anise, nuts, and baked pears on the palate and finish. Pair with antipasti, quiches, pasta with seafood, and sushi.
