Grolleau Gris "Le Chant Baron", Luc et Jerome Choblet 2019 (Loire Valley, France)

Grolleau Gris is a rarely seen white grape that turns pink when ripe, like Pinot Gris, from western Loire. Ripe yellow fruit on the nose that expresses itself on the palate as pink grapefruit, red berries, and spice. Balanced acidity and hints of pepper and citrus on the finish. Pair with grilled sardines, clams, Asian cuisine, and aged goat's milk cheeses.
