80+ year old Nerello Mascalese from organic bush trained vines planted 840 meters (!) up on the north side of Mount Etna. 70% destemmed by hand and 30% whole cluster wild fermented in open topped barrels for 2 weeks, then pressed off to old barrels for 7 months and bottled unfiltered with minimal sulfur added. Wild red berry fruit and smoky crushed rocks on a friendly, medium bodied frame. Everything Anna makes is beautiful.
