La Boutanche 2 Pack

Frantz Saumon Rosé 2020 (Loire, France) Frantz is a former forest ranger making some of the best natural wines coming from Montlouis-sur-Loire, mostly known for his pure, chiseled expressions of Chenin Blanc, but this is a blend of Gamay and Grolleau direct pressed and wild fermented in tank and bottled with minimal sulfur. Ripe tart cherry fruit with a fresh mineral finish.  The picture on the label tells you everything you need to know. Drink this by the gallon, preferably outside in the sunshine.

Andi Knauss Trollinger (Swabia, Germany) Trollinger, sometimes called Schiava or Vernatsch in northern Italy, is a thin skinned red grape that makes a light, fresh alpine red that acts like a rosé. This one comes from Andi Knauss who lovingly farms some very steep slopes near Wurttemberg in southwestern Germany. Again, wild fermented in tank and bottled with minimal sulfur, this one is maybe a little leaner than the Saumon rosé with crunchy pomegranate and strawberry notes. Park picnic perfection.
