La Reserva Cider, Alai NV $12 (Chile)

This is a cider made from a 50 year old orchard in the foothills of the Andes, along the Cachapoal River, fermented in concrete eggs, then aged for 7 months in old barrel before secondary fermentation in bottle. Smokey, spiced and fruity, but dry with nice firm bubbles. Breakfast of champions.
