Montsant Potente, Celler de Capcanes 2018 (Catalonia, Spain)

From the slate hills of Montsant, this is a blend of mostly Garnacha with some Carignan, Syrah and Merlot, all from 65+ year old organic plots over 1500 feet up. The grapes are wild fermented in concrete, then aged for 9 months in a combination of French and American oak, made by Eva Lopes. Full bodied, deep and dark with velvety dark red and black fruit.
