This wine is vinified and stored without the use of added sulphur -- an uncommon approach especially in Bordeaux. Chateau Penin's vineyards are close to the Dordogne river and its merlot for this wine is planted on sandy, loamy soils. It is chunky, round and has earthy, meaty overtones. Great with flavorful meats and winter dishes.
