Nebbiolo d'Alba "San Rocco", De Forville 2020 (Piedmont, Italy)

The De Forville family are Barbaresco specialists, but the San Rocco vineyard sits on a hilltop just in between the Barbaresco and Barolo zones. Organically farmed and hand harvested, then wild fermented in steel and aged for 12 to 18 months in large old Slavonian oak, just like their Barbaresco. Classic with strawberry, tar and forest herbs on a medium bodied and well structured frame.
