Bangarang Rouge, Anges & Rene Mosse 2020 (Loire) $24 This is a blend of 75% Pineau d'Aunis and 25% Grolleau from old vines in Anjou, lovingly made completely naturally by Agnes and Rene and now their sons Joseph and Sylvestre. Bright and floral with high toned juicy red berry notes. Yes, the name is a Hook reference, and that should tell you everything you need to know. Drink it by the gallon. Get it while you can.

Cotes du Rhone Primeur, Marcel Richaud 2020 (Rhone) $19 Marcel and his family have been making wine in Carainne, southern Rhone, for generations. Marcel took over from his father almost 50 years ago and immediately stopped using any chemicals in the vineyard (basically unheard of in this part of France back then), stopped selling to the locol co-op and started bottling under his own name. This is a blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Carignan fermented whole cluster carbonic for 6 days, then pressed off to tank for a few months, then  bottled unfiltered with just a touch of sulfur. Juicy, spiced red and blue fruit with a lipsmacking finish.
