This comes from a few different co-planted vineyards high up on the north side of the mountain. A plot of Grecanico and Grecanico Dorato were macerated on the skins for a week, while separately a field blend of Catarratto, Minella, Carricante and Inzolia were whole cluster direct pressed into steel. After fermentation, the two batches were blended and aged in steel for 5 months, then bottled unfiltered with just a little sulfur added. Golden colored and aromatic with smokey white flowers and orchard fruit, but decidedly mineral driven with a long focused finish.
