Perfect Day, Pittnauer NV (Burgenland, Austria)

This is always our favorite wine from the Pittnauers. 54% Muskat Ottonel, 29% Sauvignon Blanc, 8% Chardonnay, 4% Gelber Muskateller, 5% Traminer, 100% Delicious! Each grape sees a slightly different regime with varying amounts of skin contact and different containers-- amphora, steel and old barrel, then assembled and bottled unfiltered with minimal sulfur. Aromatic and expressive, this jumps out of the glass with stone fruit and spice. Medium bodied with just the right amount of grip from the skin contact and beautifully balanced acidity.
