POV, Robert Sinskey 2018 (California, United States)

Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon from 15 micro plots in northern Carneros all fermented separately and blended according to taste, then aged for 19 months in French oak. 2016 was spectacular and the last vintage before wildfires started happening every year. This is bold and full bodied with complex layers of dark red and blue fruit, leather, tobacco, spice and everything nice. This is a bottled holiday hug.
