From Northwest Spain, almost to Basque country, in the mountains outside of Leon, Pedro Gonzalez Mittlbrunn looks like he runs the local biker gang, but spends most of his time preserving and protecting rare local grapes like Prieto Picudo and teaming up with American badass and world wide wine negociant extraordinaire Mary Taylor. This comes from a mix of younger 20-ish year old vines and some 100+ year old vines all grown organically, wild fermented and aged in steel. Fresh and easy with crunchy dark berry fruit and crushed rocks. Unique and delicious.
