Q1000 Tartaraci Rosso, Vino di Anna 2016 (Sicily, Italy)

This is a single vineyard planted in the 50s with bush trained Nerello Mascalese and Alicante (aka Grenache) at over 3000 feet up on the north side of Mount Etna, fermented in 1200L Georgian Qvevri, then aged in a combination of Qvevri and steel tanks for 22 months, then bottled unfiltered with almost no sulfur added. Really special.
