Roussanne, Terres Dorees 2019 (Beaujolais, France)

Typically grown in the Rhone Valley and not recognized as a varietal in Beaujolais, Jean Paul's Roussanne bears the Vin de Table designation on the back of the bottle label. But seeing that Roussanne is also grown on the same parallel in the Savoie, he decided try it himself. Farmed organically, hand sorted, de-stemmed, and then fermented with natural yeasts in concrete and stainless steel, the result is rich and full wine with herbal aromas, apple and pear fruit and a creamy, mineral texture.
