Just inland from Rimini, this is Sangiovese Rubicone, which is the same grape as its neighbor just south in Tuscany, but takes on a different personality here in Romagna. It's sort of like Rioja to Ribera del Duero, Sangiovese Rubicone is more full and dense with purple and blue fruits as opposed to the red fruited sour cherry notes of Sangiovese from places like Chianti. This one is from biodynamic vineyards, wild fermented, aged all in steel and bottled unfiltered with no sulfur added.
