Sfera Rosso Litro, Frecciarosso NV (Lomardia, Italy)

We fully embrace this boom in liter collaborations happening all over Europe in the past few years. This one comes from our friends at Portovino, one of our favorite Italian importers and the Odero family who have been making beautiful wine in Oltrepo Pavese under the name Frecciarossa for the past hundred years. This is a co-fermented blend of red and white grapes- 30% Uva Rara, 30% Barbera, 25% Croatina, 25% Pinot Nero, 15% Riesling made with low sulfur and low alcohol, but highly chuggable with bright cherry and pomegranate notes and long mouthwatering finish. Juicy business.
