Garnatxa Fina aka Grenache aka the Queen of the Mediterranean. This one comes from a tiny co-op with a whopping 3 members in the town of La Figuera, a sleepy village of 80 people high up in the Montsant mountains, fermented in steel with native yeast, then aged on the lees in underground cement tanks for 9 months. Dark red forest fruit and wild herbs with a lean minerality. Old school farmer wine and a great expression of this important grape.
