Sonoma County Pinot Noir, Akane 2016 (California, United States)

Pinot Noir from two organic plots in Carneros between 10 and 40 years old, hand harvested and wild fermented, then aged for 11 months in french oak and bottled unfined and lightly filtered with minimal sulfur added. 2016 was a beautiful vintage and this wine is just coming into it's own with brambly red fruit, baking spice and a silky finish.
