Chenin Blanc "Celsiane" 2019 $26 100% Chenin Blanc planted on schist and sandstone in a single vineyard, hand harvested, fermented with native yeast and aged in vats on the lees for 11 months, before getting bottled unfiltered with just a touch of sulfur. Full bodied, but balanced with ripe yellow fruit, fresh citrus and smokey minerality. Really delicious.
Anjou Rouge "Le Quillette" 2018 $24 This is a blend of 60% Gamay, 20% Grolleau and 20% Cab Franc from organic vineyards in Anjou, fermented whole cluster with native yeast for 8 days, then pressed off to vats where it ages on the lees for 9 months before getting bottled unfiltered with just a little sulfur added at bottling. Juicy and bright with vibrant red fruit and crushed flowers. Nice with a little chill, but can go either way.
Get both for $40! This one is a no brainer, these wines are so good and total crowd pleasers.
