Umbria Bianco "Santa Chiara", Paolo Bea 2016 (Umbria, Italy)

This is a field blend of Grechetto, Malvasia, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Garganega, roughly in equal parts from clay and gravel soils about 1300 feet up. The wine macerates for two weeks then spends a year on the lees in steel and bottled without sulfur. Deep golden color with dense orchard fruit, baked citrus and exotic spice.
