Verdejo "Kilometro 0 El Origen", MicroBio 2019 (Segovia, Spain)

Orange Verdejo from one of the masters of the grape, Ismael Gozalo. This wine comes from a 100-200 year old family plot up in the mountains of Nieva. The grapes are hand harvested and wild fermented on the skins for two months in amphora, then aged for a year and half in amphora and old barrel, then bottled unfiltered with no sulfur added. Dense and weighty with spiced orchard fruit, dried citrus, almonds and wild herbs.
