'Dindi,' Malaparte 2021 (Castilla y León, Spain)

Dindi Blanco is a field blend of Albillo Mayor, Jerez, Moscatel, Malvar, Verdejo, and a bunch of other grapes that are co-vinified. The bunches are destemmed and macerated for 8 hours (hence the orange color) and oak-fermented on the lees for 6 months, followed by 6 months in neutral oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with very little sulfur.  Medium-bodied, dry. Drinks like a Grenache Blanc with stone fruit, mineral, and nuts on a lush, complex finish with great acidity for balance.  Pair with grilled fish, cold seafood, and cheese.
