Grignolino d'Asti, Agostino Pavia e Figli '18 (Piedmont, Italy)

Classic chilled red Piemontese Picnic wine. Grignolino is a thin skinned red grape that has more seeds than other grapes (7 instead of 3) so it needs to be lightly pressed and treated with a delicate touch, and that's why we don't see that much of it over here. Agostino Pavia has been making wine since the 50s and with the help of his sons Mauro and Giuseppe continues to make these southern Piedmont classics.
