Les Champs Libres is a side project of two Rhone natural wine superstars, and Ardeche natives- René-Jean Dard and Hervé Souhaut. This is an unusual blend of their respective signature grapes, Syrah and Gamay, from organic vineyards, made in vat and bottled unfiltered with no sulfur added. Dark fruited with exotic spice and crushed flowers, but light on it's feet and juicy with a lip-smacking finish. Really clean and precise with no funk at all, and lightly grippy. Throw this in the fridge for a bit and serve chilled, but not too cold.
