The Sagrantino grape is the jewel of Umbria. Thick skinned and tannic making complex deep, dark reds that can age forever. This spends a year in steel, then two years in large Slavonian oak, then another year bottle before its released. No sulfur or anything else added or taken away at any point. Wild brambly dark berry fruit with dusty earth, leather and flinty minerality with enough mouthwatering acidity to balance all of that out.
