This rustic, earthy, and spicy Italian red is a blend of 50% Aglianico and 50% Tintilia (aka Bobal). The "Morgia Lafesta" vineyards are located at 550 meters above sea level. Perfect sun exposure allows the grapes to mature as they bathe in constant sunshine. During maceration there is constant care to ensure that Aglianico tannins do not overpower the delicate Tintilia notes. It is vinified with natural yeast and aged in stainless steel for 1 year. It has a great structure, with a slightly funky barnyard nose. The deep, smokey Aglianico is softened and balanced by the elegant, bright Tintilla. Deep berries mingle with licorice and slight grippy tannins.
